Specially concocted by A.muse Projects, purveyor of handcrafted tea blends, gem of west java begins with a tea base from the same origins as the confection: organic Indonesian black tea, harvested from a small, family-owned farm in West Java.
Ripe pu’erh is then blended to bring out a touch of seductive smokiness and earthy age, while cinnamon, cloves and fennel are added for a distinctive Asian-flavoured top note.
